For cold peel DTF (Direct-to-Film), here’s a typical guideline for pressing and peeling:

  1. Prepare Your Heat Press: Set the press to temperature between 300-325°F (150-160°C) and medium to firm pressure. This may vary slightly depending on your transfer film and ink, so check your material’s specific recommendations.
  2. Press the Transfer: Position your transfer on the garment. Press for about 10-15 seconds at the recommended temperature. Once done, lift the press and let the garment sit until it cools completely. This cooling period ensures the adhesive bonds properly.
  3. Peeling Process: Once the transfer is fully cooled (typically after a few minutes), carefully peel off the transfer film. If any areas aren’t adhering well, re-press for a few seconds with a piece of parchment paper or a Teflon sheet on top to secure the design.
  4. Post-Press (Optional): For additional durability, do a quick repress (5 seconds) with parchment or Teflon on top of the design.

Remember to follow any specific instructions from your DTF film and ink manufacturer, as these may vary slightly.
